Should my business participate in SNAP?

Owners and operators of retail grocery or convenience stores may want to consider applying for a license for approval into the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).  Such a license allows the business to become a licensed retailer and participate in SNAP by selling eligible food goods to participating individuals.  Colloquially, the benefits an individual receives from SNAP are known as “food stamps.”

Today, August 3, 2012, the U.S. Citizenships and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it would accept filing of deferred actions for childhood arrivals starting on August 15, 2012. The USCIS finally implemented the details for deferred action after President Obama issued the executive order on June 15, 2012!
